The Journey to Privacy Advocacy

Hindi's journey into privacy advocacy begins with a personal story from his teenage years. While developing a social network, a bullying incident led him to uncover the importance of privacy.

Despite resolving his situation by accessing private messages, the experience left a lasting impression on him. He realized that even as a creator, he did not have the right to violate users' privacy, motivating him to ensure that digital platforms respect it by design.

Hindi envisions a future where privacy is built into the very fabric of the internet through homomorphic encryption, a method to process encrypted data without decrypting it. Hindi envisions a future where HTTPZ, the next evolution of encrypted internet protocols, ensures end-to-end encryption, making data privacy a reality by default.

This advancement holds the potential to revolutionize diverse sectors ranging from smart contracts to targeted advertising to healthcare, allowing for data analysis without exposing users’ personal information.

Bioinformatics & Personalized Medicine

Homomorphic encryption would enable secure sharing of medical data for research without compromising individual privacy. In a world where data leaks pose significant risks, this technology stands as a safeguard against unauthorized data exposure, fostering trust and innovation in medical research.

Drawing upon his bioinformatics background, Hindi describes the potential for AlphaFold's protein structure databases to revolutionize drug design and disease prevention.

Hindi's investments in technologies like portable MRIs and precision psychedelics reflect his commitment to innovative healthcare solutions. He highlights both the ancient wisdom and recent scientific validation of psychedelics for enhancing creativity and treating mental health conditions.

Implications for Work and Society

On the future of work, Hindi envisions automation replacing repetitive tasks, empowering professionals to focus on more fulfilling roles. His outlook suggests a transformation in career paths, characterized by serial specialists, individuals continually adapting and mastering new skills throughout their lives.

As an Ethereum optimist, Hindi highlights the role of developers in defining the evolution of ethical technology and praises the Ethereum community for valuing privacy and governance, reminiscent of the early days of the internet.

Hindi foresees a world where artificial intelligence becomes unobtrusive through ubiquitous computing. By reducing the friction of constant notifications and making technology seamlessly blend into the background—similar to electricity today, AI will enable a new era akin to the singularity where humans and technology become indistinguishable.

Thoughts on Transhumanism

Hindi posits that we are all inherently transhumanists with a rich and storied history of fashioning tools to transcend biological limitations. From prosthetics to wearable tech, the integration of technology into the human experience is inevitable. However, he emphasizes the importance of ensuring technology remains safe and trustworthy, especially as it becomes inseparable from our physical and mental well-being.

Hindi advocates for innovations that address vulnerabilities like climate change and chronic diseases, prioritizing investment in science to safeguard our future. Whether through homomorphic encryption, ubiquitous computing, or the integration of AI into our lives, the future holds boundless possibilities if advancements remain aligned with ethical principles for the betterment of society.
